Doing makeup is a common thing. Everyone does it. Most people know how to do their makeup regularly. But for children, it's a little confusing. Many parents ask this question of whether a child should wear makeup in front of the camera or not.
Makeup is about you, not somebody else. It should be a personal choice and not be forced upon by anyone else for that matter. As for the kids, since they usually accompany their parents, the onus is on the latter to decide whether the kids can wear makeup or. This is a short blog containing answers to all your questions regarding kids wearing make-up.
Toddlers
Many parents avoid using makeup on their child's face at such a young age. Well, it's the right choice. Toddlers have soft and light skin for which makeup can sound harmful. You can use the baby shampoo, cream, and powder to make your baby look fresh and beautiful. Hair accessories with matching clothes will give him a photogenic look too.
Young kids
A little bit of makeup can be used from the age of 6 above. Since the child has grown a little and can carry stuff on his or her face, this should go well.
For children above age 5 to 8, parents can go with a moisturizer (anything you like) and a little bit of tinted lip gloss which can also be used as a cheek tint.
These are basic commodities you can find in any shop near you. And guess what it wouldn't cost more than a few bucks.
Young adults
For children from the age of 9 to 12, you can go with a moisturizer, powder, lip gloss, and mascara, or even a light eyeshadow to enhance their eyes. These all things can be used on girls and boys alike. You can ask a professional makeup artist to do the gig or you can always go for it yourself.
Some parents are comfortable using a foundation for their young adults. Well, this is completely your choice. You should be comfortable with using a base in your child's face. If you are, then you can use a lightweight mousse foundation.
Summing up
A complete look comprises clothes, makeup, hair, and accessories. Therefore you shouldn't be worried about using too much makeup or no makeup on a child's face. A good moisturizer and a lip tint are more than enough. Cameras are sensitive enough to capture all those magic tricks you have done to your child's face to give a beautiful and fresh look.
